Welcome to Make & Munch, our monthly craft night where creativity, community, and a few delicious treats come together.

Each month we'll gather to try a different craft, enjoy some snacks, chat with new friends, and spend a couple of hours creating in a welcoming space where everyone is free to be themselves.

Let's be honest. We've all seen a craft on TikTok or Instagram and thought, "I could totally make that." Then suddenly you've spent over $100 on supplies, watched five tutorials, and the materials have been sitting in a closet ever since. 🤭

Instead, let us do the heavy lifting. We'll gather all the supplies, teach you the craft, and create a fun, encouraging environment so all you have to do is show up and enjoy the experience.

🇯🇵 August's Craft: Kinusaiga

For our very first Make & Munch, we're exploring Kinusaiga, a traditional Japanese art form that combines intricate techniques with beautiful fabrics to create stunning textured artwork without any sewing.

This beginner friendly workshop will teach you the basics of Kinusaiga as you create your own beautiful art piece to take home. No experience is needed, and all materials are included.

One of the things we love most about Kinusaiga is that it gives new life to fabric that might otherwise go unused. We'll have plenty of fabric available for you to choose from, but you're also welcome to bring your own from home! Old T shirts, clothing that no longer fits, fabric scraps from past sewing projects, or any other fabric that holds special meaning are all wonderful options to incorporate into your artwork and make it uniquely yours. 🧵💛

To celebrate the craft's cultural roots, your ticket also includes a selection of traditional Japanese treats. 🍡

Your $35 ticket includes:

• Step by step instruction throughout the workshop

Space is limited to keep the workshop intimate and supportive, so we recommend reserving your spot early.

A detailed information email, including parking instructions and a parking map, will be sent the week before the event. ✉️

Important Information

The Moderne Loft is located on the second floor and does not have elevator access.

You are welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks.

You are also welcome to bring meaningful fabric from home if you'd like to incorporate it into your Kinusaiga piece.

All ticket sales are final and non refundable.
